Who Is Reflexology For?

Note: The treatment can be adapted according to age, physical condition, sensitivity, and individual needs. Pressure, techniques, positioning, and treatment duration can all be adjusted to ensure a comfortable experience

Communication is Important

I encourage you to tell me if anything feels uncomfortable, too sensitive, or painful. Pressure and technique can be adjusted at any time. You should never feel that you have to tolerate pain during a treatment.

After Your Session

Many people feel deeply relaxed and a little sleepy - a good time to slow down and enjoy it.

Take It Easy

For the rest of the day, I recommend keeping your schedule as light as possible. Rather than going directly to the gym, exercising, or taking a long walk, give your body some quiet time.

If possible, go home, relax, and enjoy a warm bath or soak your feet in warm water. You may find that going to bed a little earlier than usual is especially enjoyable after your treatment.

Everyone responds to reflexology differently. Some people feel energized, while others feel relaxed and sleepy. You may notice that you sleep particularly well following your session.

Some clients also report feeling more comfortable if they had been experiencing muscle or general body discomfort before their appointment.

You may notice changes in your usual bowel habits or other sensations after a session.

If you have congestion, you may notice nasal or sinus drainage afterward. Again, this can simply be part of your body’s normal response

The most important thing after your session is to listen to your body and give yourself time to relax. Drink water as you normally would, eat normally, and allow yourself some quiet time.

If anything concerns you, or if you have questions about something you experience following your session, please feel free to call or text me. I am always happy to discuss your concerns with you.

Relax. Slow down. Give yourself permission to rest.

Your reflexology session doesn’t have to end when you leave the treatment room—give yourself the rest of the day to enjoy that feeling of relaxation.

Special Considerations

Pregnancy is a special time when the body goes through many physical and emotional changes. Some women enjoy reflexology during pregnancy as a way to relax, take time for themselves, and support their general sense of well-being.

As a precaution, I do not provide reflexology during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Reflexology may be considered from the second trimester onward, provided the pregnancy is progressing normally and there are no medical concerns.

Pregnancy treatments are adapted to the stage of pregnancy and the comfort of the mother.

If you have a high-risk pregnancy, pregnancy complications, or any concerns about receiving reflexology, please consult your physician or midwife before booking a treatment.

Reflexology can be used as a complementary supportive therapy for people living with cancer or undergoing cancer treatment.

It is important to understand that reflexology does not treat or cure cancer and should never replace medical treatment. Instead, it can provide a quiet, relaxing experience and an opportunity to take some time away from the physical and emotional demands that can accompany illness and treatment.

When working with someone undergoing cancer treatment, I take their individual circumstances into consideration and adapt the treatment as necessary. Depending on the person’s medical situation, consultation with or approval from their healthcare team may be appropriate.

Can Reflexology Harm You?

Generally gentle and non-invasive. Treatment may need to be postponed or modified if you:
